Removal of Reflection from Nightscape Parallel Stereo Images of Distant View through Window

چکیده
Camera images taken through window glass sometimes have a problem of reflection from the glass surface. It is conspicuous in night scenes because reflection intensity is considerable compared to the outside objects. This paper proposes a removing method of reflections of a planar object from night scene images taken through a window glass. Two different view point images are taken with parallel stereo camera. In the acquired images, the disparity of night scene is considered to be zero if the scene is of a distant view. In this paper, we treat the case that the relative positions of reflection and night scene in stereo images are known and the disparity appears only in the reflection as a predictable value. By calculating the pixel values of the relative position, the reflection is removed. Experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Optimizing Disparity Candidates Space in Dense Stereo Matching
In this paper, a new approach for optimizing disparity candidates space is proposed for the solution of dense stereo matching problem. The main objectives of this approachare the reduction of average number of disparity candidates per pixel with low computational cost and high assurance of retaining the correct answer. These can be realized due to the effective use of multiple radial windows, i...

Introduction: The different factors that affect the camera uniformity of Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) technique have been analyzed including peak shift (%) and window width of energy. The effect of peak shift and window width on SPECT image uniformity has been investigated using a point source to perform intrinsic flood images. Methods:</stro...
متن کاملRemoval of Waterdrops on a Protection Glass Surface from Parallel Stereo Images
In this paper, we propose a new method for removing waterdrops which, adhering to a protection glass surface in front of cameras, block a scene in the common view of a parallel stereo image pair. The method consists of the following three steps. First, it detects positions of waterdrops in images by comparing disparities measured from stereo images with the value calculated from a geometrical r...
متن کاملStereo pairs from linear morphing
Several authors have recently investigated the ability to compute intermediate views of a scene using given 2D images from arbitrary camera positions. The methods fall under the topic of image bused rendering. In the case we give here, linear morphing between two parallel views of a scene produces intermediate views that would have been produced by parallel movement of a camera. Hence, the tech...
